OK OK OK

Sorry have been slack at updating my blog lately but honestly have been quite quiet - well as quiet as I ever get :o) Am COMPLETELY addicted to a FaceBook game called PACKRAT so have been spending mega time playing this great game..... we have also been asked to do sound for ANOTHER show at Dolphin - this one is called The Kidnap Game so just trying to get our heads around that.... Also went to see The X-Files movie recently - blecchh! Don't bother! Probably the worst movie have had the displasure of sitting through in a long time - one postive though was that I parked at the Casino so of course had to have a bit of a flutter and ended up $150 better off - gotta luv those 2c machines - it went crazy and suffice to say was pretty stoked with that.

A couple of sad things have happened though, my ex boss Bruce had his father in law pass away so of course I went to that funeral - Bruce actually managed to sing With A Song In My Heart in entirety then sat down and burst into tears - so sad, and also my uncle has just been put into a Hospice and has been given days/weeks to live - poor Mum is pretty cut up about it as when he goes she will be the only remaining family member. Not nice.

Last night though I sat through the entire opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics - what a spectacle! WOW! I am sure those fireworks could have been seen from space.

So anyway that's us not a hell of a lot to report hence the slackness of my updates. One great thing though is Ian has been doing HEAPS of work as a driver for Regency Limousines, which involves him driving around various dignatories, politicians and the like - he is LOVING it and thank goodness he is getting some much awaited moolah!

Anyways thats it from me! So nice to have people actually read this and hassle me if it has not been updated! Luv to everyone and promise wont be so slack with updates!!

and OMG I nearly forgot MY OUTRAGEOUS FORTUNE episode just aired here - suffice to say my cell phone went crazy with so many lovely comments - it was nerve racking for sure and just so wierd to think that when the DVD for Season 4 comes out I will be in it! Anyways some pictures here.

Out the Wild Wild West

Well it is done, I have finished filming my episode of Outrageous Fortune and it was FABULOUS. Had to be "on the set" (hee hee) at 6.45am so subsequently it was a VERY early Easter Monday Morning for yours truly....

I co-starred with Kirk Torrance (Judd - top picture) and Frank Whitten (Ted - bottom picture). Can't tell too much more about it due to confidentiality etc etc but suffice to say keep an eye out for the "westie" slapper in Season Four: Episode Seven - you may just recognise her.

Also as most people know I am a HUGE Fan of Outrageous Fortune (hence the thrill in getting the role) and I have a TEAM JUDD T-Shirt from Season One - well guess who signed it for me? Yep none other than Kirk himself - he was SUCH a sweetie and was like "hey where can I get one of those?" believe it or not I have the tee shirt with his face on it and he doesn't :o)

So anyway have got in touch with my friend who got it for me in the first place to see if she can get him one.... Now just how to organise for the rest of the female cast to be killed off so I can do more stuff on the show..... mmmm

We also had our first "read through" for The Laramie Project on the Thursday just before Easter and all I can saw is WOW! Man if the show is half as good as some of the stuff that came out in the read through it is going to be incredible! and nothing to do with me that was all just the actors reading through the script - very emotional and powerful stuff.

So Tuesday 1st April (what an unfortunate start date hee hee) we are gearing up for our VERY FIRST proper rehearsal - eek - so exciting and will be keeping posted on here how we are going...

Oh and the other exciting thing, the $$$$ has finally started rolling in from the TV Add I did back in February and the first lot of payments for Outrageous Fortune (for rehearsals etc)... which is damn good as I HAVE to go and buy some new clothes - nothing fits anymore!!! eek - ciao!

what a couple of weeks!

Okay where to start? Had the MOST incredible auditions for The Laramie Project - 28 people for 8 roles - have managed to cast a PHENOMENAL cast! We ended up having to have recalls for some of the key roles that weren't obvious at the first auditions but suffice to say I am thrilled beyond belief with the results.... And THEN Outrageous Fortune - which is just such an incredible ride - had rehearsal/ make up and wardrobe call yesterday - WOW What an experience! AND the bestest thing all my carbohydrate deficiencies have obviously paid off as ALL my wardrobe is a (drum roll please) a SIZE 12!!!!!!!!!!!! I honestly can't remember the last time I was a size 12 so even though everything else is incredible that to ME was the highlight of the best possible couple of weeks! Onwards and upwards......


Oh and tonight we have the ACTT Awards at the Crown Plaza - another excuse for glamour, gorgeous outfits and too much wine! My poor liver! Having a few friends over beforehand and then Avis (my wonderful P.A. for The Laramie Project) is shouting us a limousine ride there and back! WOW!

OH MY GOD!!!!!

Okay am STILL minorly hysterical! But after the fabness (is there such a word) of doing the Mini Add Campaign I have just landed a role in New Zealand's premiere TV Show OUTRAGEOUS FORTUNE.

Went for the audition on Friday last week and just heard today - THRILLED BEYOND BELIEF. It is only a role in one episode but to be honest I would have played a bar stool and paid them to let me do it! Shortland Street was fun but this is OUTRAGEOUS FORTUNE!!! eek!

Also have my auditions for The Laramie Project coming up THIS saturday and have an amazing collection of actors auditioning for me.

Sorry Sorry Sorry

Just been a CRAZY couple of weeks, the filming was incredible - over 12 hours for a 30 second TVC! and am now up for a role on Outrageous Fortune AND my agent turned down an add for me this week cos wasn't paying enough!!! Also gearing up for auditions NEXT WEEKEND! eek! AND have the NAPTA Awards this weekend - aarrgghh!!!!! Wouldn't change anything though MAN I LOVE ME LIFE!

Too hard to explain if you have never seen Outrageous Fortune. But one of the main characters was tragically killed in last nights episode - just wont be the same without her.... sniff sniff - last nights Television really showed what INCREDIBLY talented people - performers/ writers/ art deparments/ sound etc etc that we have in this country. It was probably one of the best hours of TV I have ever seen..... sniff - and will never be able to hear the "Goodnight Kiwi" theme again without getting all teary......


(oh and FYI and in case anyone did not know Claire Chitham - who played Aurora - started acting at the Dolphin Theatre in Onehunga where we do most of our sound design and where I too started acting when I was 11! (OMG that is 30 years ago - eek)
