Friday again....

and summer looks like it is finally here - have had at least 5 days of sun, sun, sun, followed by humidity, humidity, humidity... still can't complain and have finally taken the electric blanket off the bed..... (i am a bit of a wimp and like it on as long as possible).

Apart from that have not actually been up to much, a dear friend of mine, Mary-Jane, is off to live in Dubai on the weekend so caught up with her for a drink and a mega-feast of HELL Pizza which was to die for - esp the deep friend Camembert - I might as well just stick it straight on my thighs but oh man it tastes SOO good.

This weekend we are off to the metropolis of HAMILTON!! For those of you not from New Zealand it is a bit hard to explain Hamilton, but let's just say on their main road they have a statue to Richard O'Brien who wrote Rocky Horror. It is a funny place, but hey I am sure we will have a good time. The reason for our trip is that Ian's eldest boy is turning 30! Man that makes me feel old as I am only 11 years older than that!

But the biggest news of the week was that my HAIRSPRAY - SHAKE & SHIMMY 2 DISC DVD arrived from Amazon in the States. It must be one of the first in New Zealand as I had pre-ordered it and it shipped on the same day as it went on sale in the U.S. VERY EXCITING so guess what I am settling down to watch tonight - WELCOME TO THE 60'S WOOHOO!!!
Have a great weekend all ...

HAIRSPRAY THE MOVIE!

OMG went to see this yesterday - seriously has to be one of the most JOYOUS movies I have ever seen - every song/number is a delight with WELCOME TO THE 60'S being one of the best scenes from any movie musical ever - and as I have seen virtually all movie musicals that is a BIG call!

I have no idea how anyone could remain grumpy seeing this movie, now bring on the DVD release date (some time in November from the states).

Have a happy weekend everyone - and let's hope we don't pummel the Portuguese at the World Cup (well not too much anyways)
