what a couple of weeks!

Okay where to start? Had the MOST incredible auditions for The Laramie Project - 28 people for 8 roles - have managed to cast a PHENOMENAL cast! We ended up having to have recalls for some of the key roles that weren't obvious at the first auditions but suffice to say I am thrilled beyond belief with the results.... And THEN Outrageous Fortune - which is just such an incredible ride - had rehearsal/ make up and wardrobe call yesterday - WOW What an experience! AND the bestest thing all my carbohydrate deficiencies have obviously paid off as ALL my wardrobe is a (drum roll please) a SIZE 12!!!!!!!!!!!! I honestly can't remember the last time I was a size 12 so even though everything else is incredible that to ME was the highlight of the best possible couple of weeks! Onwards and upwards......


Oh and tonight we have the ACTT Awards at the Crown Plaza - another excuse for glamour, gorgeous outfits and too much wine! My poor liver! Having a few friends over beforehand and then Avis (my wonderful P.A. for The Laramie Project) is shouting us a limousine ride there and back! WOW!

and the nominees are........

So exciting - the time is nearly upon us OSCAR NIGHT! I will be (as usual) taking the day off work, popping on my glad rags and immersing myself infront of the television with all my favourite things (bubbly, nibbles, ciggies etc) ready to transport myself on my yearly mission to watch as much Oscar coverage as possible.

I will pop up my picks later - suffice to say am THRILLED Jennifer Hudson got the nod - I am rooting for her for sure, and Martin Scorsese as Best Director ? - whether or not he deserves for this particular film is redundant - bascially it is his turn after being over looked so many times before.

and speaking of nominations........... the Auckland Community Theatre Trust nominations came out last night and hoorah for Ian that he has been nominated for best sound for Midsummer Nights Dream !!!!
