Okay so here's my problem....
When you go and see a show with your friends in it and you don't enjoy it do you a) lie and say "yeah it was awesome", b) avoid answering any questions and ask about the weather or c) be honest????
Most people would probably take a) or b) as the easy option BUT guess what I did? Yep and now I am in trouble with some people I really care about.... Maybe I am getting too old, or go and see too many shows but I just get frustrated when I see some awesome talent not being utilised.... So I guess my new mantra should be stick to a) and/or b) or just not go...... mmmmmm
Anyway on a more (MUCH MORE) positive note, The Laramie Project rehearsals are going brilliantly - even if I do say so myself. We have managed to set the entire play in four rehearsals and am giving the cast the opportunity to come over on Sunday and watch the HBO DVD and talk about characterisations.... - what a privilege to be able to do this so early into the rehearsal process.... there are still some mountains to climb but let's put it this way, they are nice easy mountains that take half an hour or so and definitely not Everset! Onwards and Upwards - and just remind me to SHUT UP about shows when I am there!!!
