Why are "Children's Movies" So Sad !

We were lucky enough last night to watch Charlotte's Web on DVD. What a Fantastic Movie but OH SO SAD. We all know (well at least I did) the story based on the brilliant book by E.B. White so knew what to expect at the end but I had no idea it would cause my tear ducts to swell and come running down my face. Even poor old Ian had a few "weepy" moments.

The way the movie interspersed real life animals, animatronics and CG was truly break through stuff but you were never over whelmed by the "how did they do that" factor. The true heart of the movie stands at the friendship through first Fern and Wilbur and then later through Wilbur and Charlotte.

I can thoroughly recommend this movie to all - whether you have children or not - this will certainly bring out your "inner child" - it was certainly SOME movie!
