Monday Monday!

Well I seem to be the only person actually working in Auckland today as virtually everyone else was sensible enough to remember that tomorrow is a public holiday and take today off - Doh! Oh well never mind - at least it is nice and quiet....... Had a great weekend, friends over for a fantastic Guitar Hero/ Karaoke/ Chilli night on Friday, watching the Rugby Sevens from Wellington on Saturday and rehearsal for Grease yesterday. And then, much to my surprise, get into work today and find I have been nominated for a Nature's Sunshine Subsidiary Employee Recognition for the First Quarter of 2007 for my quote "tireless" unquote work on our new marketing programme so pretty blimming chuffed about that as you can imagine.

I also just have to include an article (and gorgeous picture) from the Central Leader written about my dear dear friend Bronwen and her amazing achievement of 40 years at the Dolphin Theatre - luv ya babe !

40 YEARS - NO DRAMA
By AROHA AWARAU - Central Leader Friday, 2 February 2007

Bronwen Arlington has been a murderer and a mistress - and she's loved every moment. This month the actress will celebrate her 40th year with Onehunga's Dolphin Theatre. And although she's played her fair share of wives and mothers, it's the villains she's enjoyed the most. "Playing the bad characters is always fun because you get to express a wide range of emotions," the 57-year-old says.

Bronwen got the acting bug during a holiday programme at the Dolphin when she was 16. She won the cup for most promising actor but is shocked to be on the same stage 40 years later. "I didn't think it would become such a big part of my life."
The Dolphin's latest offering, The Amorous Ambassador, is the audiologist's 20th for the company. "Juggling rehearsals and performances with other responsibilities is physically demanding. But in the end, it's worth it." Dolphin president John Kelleher says Bronwen is a pleasure to work with. "She lightens up the stage," he says. "She's a very accomplished actress and takes great trouble to perfect her performances." Bronwen has acted for other companies but says her heart will always be with the Dolphin and its audience. The Amorous Ambassador opens on February 24.
